The harsh and challenging events that occurred in and around my journey - from a car accident and broken foot before even leaving the states, to a bolder crashing into our late-night bus on the way to Puno, to my fall on a boat that lead to a sprained ankle just before walking up a mountain on Lake Titi Caca and much more - all happened even while I was supported by the divine. What I realized during my Peruvian quest was that divine timing is not only about the pretty, easeful synchronicities often,it’s about the hard, painful human experiences that must happen in order to move us divinely forward. It appeared quite seamless to the outside-person looking in, but with all of the seemingly easeful moments, there were hidden trials, tribulations and triumphs that were a necessary part of my journey. Throughout that six-month journey from September 2015- February 2016, and even a bit before, there were a series of divine events that made it possible for me to get to Perú, have places to stay in Perú, and get home from Perú. I was already a Shaman and healer, and still the journey helped me let go of fear and to trust in something much larger than myself. From receiving that phone call from a friend right when I needed to hear their voice, to receiving a check in the mail exactly when I had something to invest it in, to a kind person helping me find my way in a strange new country.Īt 42 years-old, when I traveled to Perú, I received many lessons in divine timing and became acutely aware of its presence. I see divine timing in the form of synchronicities in my life.
